GreenField Manor (residential apartment homes) and GreenField Court (assisted living apartments) opened in October 2001 as the second phase of The GreenFields Continuing Care Community.  They complement the skilled nursing, rehabilitation and outpatient therapy services already offered at GreenField Health & Rehabilitation Center.   The GreenFields has, over the past ten years, become one of the most sought after housing and health care options in Western New York.

After ten years, 13 original residents still call The GreenFields home, and 11  original staff members, several of whom live in the Lancaster area, say, "It's not just a job.  We love being able to make a difference in our residents' lives."

More than 125individuals attended this special Worship Service of Thanksgiving in celebration of the 10-Year Anniversary of GreenField Manor and GreenField Court.  Several clergy members, who serve residents by leading worship and in many other ways, participated in the worship service.  The Rev. Thomas Mason who leads the Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Lewiston, delivered the sermon.  Other participating clergy included The Rev. Paul Mertzlufft, retired from All Saints Lutheran in Hamburg; The Rev. Michael Blackwell, recently retired from St. John's Lutheran in  Depew; The Rev. Carol Lankes from St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Blossom in Elma, and The Rev. Allen Griep, Niagara Lutheran Health System's Chaplain.
