At our Buffalo location
Alzheimer's and dementia care is provided by our specially trained staff at the Niagara Lutheran Home & Rehabilitation Center on Hager Street. We provide daily activities, security measures and special foods for our Alzheimer's and dementia residents.
Innovative procedures are used to develop and reinforce skills needed for daily living, and residents are encouraged to do as much as they can for themselves. Residents also receive appropriate medical supervision, opportunities for fellowship, and emotional and spiritual support.

At our Lancaster location
GreenField Terrace, which welcomed its first resident in February, consists of four separate houses surrounding an enclosed courtyard, allowing residents to enjoy the outdoors without risk of wandering. Three houses offer Memory Care assisted living for those with a primary diagnosis of dementia. The fourth house offers an enhanced level of assisted living for people whose needs fall between traditional assisted living and skilled nursing.
With only 12 rooms per house, more individualized attention is provided in a comfortable, less-structured environment than is usually seen in an assisted living environment. Nursing staff are available around the clock, and Care Partners provide just the right amount of assistance for each resident.
Residents decide when they want to get up, what time they want to eat and what activities they want to do each day. Everyone in the household works together to make decisions, such as what the weekly menu should be or whether or not to have a pet become part of their household. The focus is on the person rather than on a schedule.
